A letter came out today from the President to all
Federal workers. He said all the expected stuff, how great we are, getting a
raw deal, yada, yada, yada. All the normal lip service. But in one paragraph,
on the second page he could not resist playing politics and assigning blame for
the shut down. This was not the right forum for that. No class whatsoever.
Here is the
paragraph in question:
“This
shutdown was completely preventable. It should not have happened. And the House
of Representatives can end it as soon as it follows the Senate's lead, and
funds your work in the United States Government without trying to attach highly
controversial and partisan measures in the process.”
